4R25 6V/7Ah battery for warning lamps

The 6V/7Ah battery powers the battery-operated flashing lamps: the V8-Y, V8-R and V8-Y2. It is a 4R25 zinc-carbon battery with terminals on top, and it is not rechargeable: when it runs down, you replace it.

How long it lasts

In a V8-Y or V8-R lamp, one 7Ah battery gives about 358 hours of operation. In the V8-Y2, with two batteries, the running time reaches about 713 hours. For a two-week job with the lamp on only at night, one 7Ah battery is more than enough.

Environmentally friendly

The battery contains no lead, mercury or cadmium, which matters when it is disposed of after use.

For short jobs, the 7Ah battery is enough. For long jobs, the 50Ah battery, the V8-B650, keeps the lamp running for about 2,800 hours and needs changing far less often. If you want no batteries at all, see the V8-YS solar lamp.

No. It is a 6V 4R25 zinc-carbon battery with terminals on top, replaced when it runs down. It weighs 0.7 kg and contains no lead, mercury or cadmium.

Is there a lamp that needs no batteries?

Yes, the V8-YS solar lamp: the solar panel charges the built-in rechargeable battery during the day, so there are no batteries to buy or replace.

Legal guarantee

Minimum two-year legal guarantee protection for goods sold in the European Union.

Consumers can claim their rights under the legal guarantee of conformity, for example if goods:

  • do not match the description;
  • do not function as intended.

Sellers are liable for any lack of conformity which existed when the goods were delivered, and which becomes apparent within the legal guarantee period. Sellers in such a situation are required to offer:

  • free repair or free replacement;
  • in some cases, a price reduction or full reimbursement.

Some countries have a longer legal guarantee period. For second-hand goods, a shorter period may apply, but not less than one year.

What to do if you receive non-conforming goods:

  1. Contact the seller as soon as possible to report the issue;
  2. Provide proof of purchase, such as a receipt, invoice, or bank statement.
