Not everything laid across a road is there to slow cars down. This category has two kinds of products with a particular job: the one-way speed bump with metal spikes and cable protectors.
The one-way speed bump with metal spikes
The ATE 12290 lets vehicles pass in one direction only: it has four yellow metal spikes angled in the permitted direction. Vehicles from that direction cross it like an ordinary speed bump; against the flow, the spikes can puncture tyres. It goes at the exit of a car park with separate entry and exit, at the gate of a company yard or on a ramp. It is made of steel and PPC, measures 50 x 50 x 6 cm, weighs 7.3 kg, has 2 reflective strips and fixes at 6 points. The 9 cm ATE 12291 cap goes at the ends. Because it can damage tyres, it is only installed together with clearly visible one-way signs and no-entry signs on the opposite side.
Cable protectors
When a cable or a hose has to cross a road, a lane or the entrance to a hall, you put it in a protector that can be driven or walked over. Ours are black vulcanised rubber with a yellow PVC lid, and they lock end to end:
- ATZ R102 – 2 channels of 3 x 3 cm, 100 x 25 x 4.5 cm, 8.5 kg.
- ATO 5855 – 5 channels of 3 x 3 cm, 90 x 50 x 5.5 cm, 17.5 kg.
The yellow lid lifts to lay the cables and closes again. Both are rated for crossing at 10 km/h. The protectors are also listed under cable protectors.
