Left/right beacons on a heavy base
These are the beacons you see along road works on public roads: a narrow 25 x 100 cm panel with yellow and red stripes on both faces, set into a black PVC base. The base sits on the asphalt with no holes, and its weight keeps the beacon upright. We sell them as complete sets or as separate parts.
Complete sets, panel and base
- V7-15 – 15 kg base, Class I film.
- V7-28 – 28 kg base, Class I film.
- V7-15_II – 15 kg base, Class II film.
- V7-28_II – 28 kg base, Class II film.
Panel only or base only
If you already have bases, the 25 x 100 cm panel is sold on its own: V3-V4 in Class I film and V3-V4_II in Class II film, 2.5 kg each. The bases are also sold separately: V2-15 (15 kg, 50 x 40 x 11 cm) and V2-28 (28 kg, 75 x 36 x 14 cm). They also have holes for mobile sign posts.
15 or 28 kg
You can lift and move the 15 kg base on your own; it is right for town. On open roads, where passing lorries push air sideways at the beacon, the 28 kg base holds it better. At 28 kg it is easier to move with two people.
The metal Z
The square bottom foot of the panel has a Z-shaped metal insert. It stiffens the panel exactly where it enters the base, the place where a plastic panel would bend most easily.

What is the difference between the 15 kg and the 28 kg base?
The 15 kg base measures 50 x 40 x 11 cm and one person can move it easily. The 28 kg base measures 75 x 36 x 14 cm and holds the beacon steadier in wind and when lorries pass.
Can I buy the panel and the base separately?
What do Class I and Class II mean?
Class II (HIP) film reflects more light back to the driver than Class I (EGP) film, so the beacon is seen from further away at night. It suits fast or unlit roads.
What is the metal Z for?
It is a Z-shaped metal insert in the panel's square foot. It stiffens the panel where it goes into the base.
