Convex traffic mirrors
A traffic mirror shows the driver what cannot be seen directly: the car coming round the corner of a building, the cyclist on the pavement, the pedestrian stepping out between two parked cars. A convex surface covers a much wider angle than a flat mirror, so both directions of the road show up in a single view.
Models
- ATZ 6080 – Ø80 cm, 6 kg, for public roads, junctions and exits onto busy streets;
- ATZ 6460 – Ø60 cm, 5 kg, for car parks, yards, garages and driveways.
Both have an acrylic mirror, which withstands knocks better than glass, and a PPC plastic frame, orange with black sections.
Installation
Each mirror comes with two fixing kits: one for a pole of Ø48-85 mm and one for a wall. It can go on a separate pole, on a traffic light pole or on the pole of a pedestrian crossing sign.
Choosing the size
The larger the mirror, the larger the image in it and the easier it is to read from a distance. Where cars approach at speed or the mirror is far from the driver, choose Ø80 cm. In enclosed spaces or at slow exits, Ø60 cm is enough.
Where to put it
The mirror usually goes opposite the exit or on the outside of the bend, high enough that tall vehicles do not hit it. Before tightening the fixing, check from the driver's seat what the mirror shows. For other car park products, see parking solutions. We deliver within 24-48 hours.
