Two-component road marking paint
Where cars brake, pull away and turn every day, a thin paint wears through in a few months. Two-component cold plastic goes on in a much thicker coat and lasts longer. The products here are based on methacrylic resin (MMA), solvent-free, 99% solids, applied by hand with a roller.
Colours and pail sizes
- ATP 2K-9016 – white, 15 kg, with premixed glass beads;
- ATP 2K-3020 – red RAL 3020, 15 kg;
- ATP 2K-6024 – traffic green RAL 6024, 20 kg;
- ATP 2K-6024/10 – the same green in a 10 kg pail.
How it is applied
Stir the product, add the catalyst (2% at +5 °C, 1% between +10 and +30 °C) and stir for another minute. Pour the material onto the taped-off area and spread it with a rubber roller. Working time is short: 8 minutes at +20 °C, and curing takes about 30 minutes. Do not thin.
Application conditions
The surface must be dry and clean, between +5 and +30 °C, and the air temperature at least 5 °C above the dew point, so no condensation forms. On new asphalt, wait 4-6 weeks. After the job, clean the tools with road marking thinner.
Consumption
1.5-2 kg/m²: a 15 kg pail covers 7.5-10 m², a 20 kg pail 10-13 m².
Retroreflection and grip
For immediate retroreflection, drop ATP AC90 glass beads, and for grip under braking, anti-skid material, onto the fresh coat.

? Frequently asked questions
How much catalyst goes in?
It depends on the surface temperature: 2% at +5 °C and 1% at +10, +20 and +30 °C. Mix the catalyst in with a mechanical stirrer for at least one minute.
How much time do I have after mixing?
20 minutes at +5 °C, 12 at +10 °C, 8 at +20 °C and 6 at +30 °C. Only mix as much as you can apply in that time.
When can traffic use the marking?
Once fully cured: about 55 minutes at +5 °C, 40 at +10 °C, 30 at +20 °C and 20 at +30 °C. Until then, keep the area closed.
Is the paint anti-slip?
Grip under braking comes from dropping anti-skid material onto the fresh coat; for retroreflection, add ATP AC90 glass beads too, or a mix of the two.
Which surfaces should it not go on?
It is not recommended over other paints, thermoplastic or marking tapes. On new asphalt, wait 4-6 weeks.
