Road safety accessories
A cone, a post or a lamp does more with the right part: the cone takes a sign, two posts are linked with a chain, the lamp runs for months on a large battery. This is where you find the small parts that complete signalling products.
For cones
- ATO 3800 and ATO 3800/B – extendable 120-190 cm bars, white-red and yellow-black, that link two cones;
- ATO 3951 – 4 kg weight base that keeps cones steady in the wind;
- ATZ 101A – red hook for the tip of a cone or delineator, for chain or tape.
For posts
The ATO 2400 fits on the top of a Ø80 mm post and adds a threaded socket for a plastic sign or a lamp, turning an ordinary delineator into a sign support. For road sign posts there are galvanised anti-rotation clamps and plastic end caps to match the post diameter: the ATT 48c and ATT 48d for Ø48 mm, the ATT 60c and ATT 60d for Ø60 mm.
For chains
The ATZ 330A is the black figure-8 hook that fixes the ends of plastic chains to posts, rings or another length of chain.
Lamp batteries
The V8-B67 (6V/7Ah) and V8-B650 (6V/50Ah) are the non-rechargeable 4R25 batteries for the V8-Y and V8-R flashing lamps: about 358 and 2,800 hours of operation respectively.
How to choose
Start from what you already have. Cones sold in sets already have a thread at the top for a small sign; for a Ø80 mm post with no socket, the ATO 2400. For a row of linked cones, the extendable bar or the hook with a chain. For a V8 lamp that has to run for a few months without a battery change, choose the 50Ah battery.
