Expandable barriers: an enclosure that fits in the boot
An expandable barrier has two posts and, between them, hinged bars that open like an accordion. Pull one end and you have closed off a gap of more than 2 metres; push it back and the barrier is 15-25 cm. It is the quickest way to stop access to a place for a few hours.
The two models
- ATZ PB02 – red HDPE, opens up to 230 cm, 110 cm tall and 7.5 kg, with 12 reflective films and 48 reflective strips.
- ATZ PB03 – yellow posts and black bars, opens up to 250 cm, 95 cm tall, 2 kg empty and 9 kg filled, with 32 reflective strips.
How they are used
Stand one post against a wall or at the edge of the area, pull the other until the gap is covered and set it down on its base. When you are done, push the posts towards each other and the barrier closes up again.
Where they are used
- at the door of a room or the end of an aisle where work is going on;
- around an open manhole or a small hole;
- to close a lane in a car park or the entrance to a yard;
- in garages, warehouses and depots, around temporary hazards.
How to choose
The ATZ PB02 is taller and heavier, so it copes better outdoors. The ATZ PB03 is very light and easy to keep in the service van or by a warehouse door. For enclosures lasting several days, modular fences are a better fit. The rest of the range is under barriers. We deliver in 1-3 working days.
