Tactile markings, 30x60 cm
One 30 x 60 cm tile covers as much as two 30 x 30 cm tiles, so long routes take half as many pieces. The format is used on platforms, long pavements and the corridors of stations, airports and public buildings.

How they are laid
On the guidance tiles the raised ribs run parallel to the long side, so the tile goes down with its 60 cm side along the direction of travel. The STOP tiles have raised domes and mark the place to stop: a pedestrian crossing, the top of a staircase, the edge of a platform. In front of a 3 m crossing, one row of STOP tiles means 5 pieces.
Material and installation
The tiles are made of TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane), 0.8 cm thick, with a non-slip surface. They are bonded with epoxy adhesive, which is not included. 5.56 tiles fit in one square metre, and a 10 m route takes 17. Along a 50 m platform, a continuous guidance route means 84 tiles. The guidance and STOP tiles are the same thickness, so the route and the stopping area meet at the same level.
Yellow or black
Choose the colour that contrasts with the floor: yellow on grey paving, asphalt or dark tiles, black on white tiles or light stone.
