? Frequently asked questions

What is a directional sign?

A directional sign is a traffic sign that helps guide drivers and pedestrians by providing information about directions, restrictions, or other important aspects of traffic. These are essential for smooth and safe circulation.

How to choose the right directional signs?

The choice of appropriate directional signs depends on the type of traffic, size, material, and design of the signs. It is important to consider the specifics of the area and the needs of road users to ensure the effectiveness of the signs.

What are the standards for directional signs?

Directional signs must comply with national standards, such as STAS SR 1848, to ensure visibility and correct understanding by all road users. These standards regulate the dimensions, colors, and symbols used.

Where can directional signs be placed?

Directional signs can be placed near intersections, on main roads, or in areas with heavy traffic. Proper placement is crucial to maximize their visibility and effectiveness.

What types of directional signs exist?

There are several types of directional signs, including those indicating the end of traffic lanes, routes for certain categories of vehicles, or directions of travel. Each type has a specific role in traffic organization.

Legal guarantee of conformity

The official European Union notice on the legal guarantee of conformity for goods bought by consumers. It explains the rights the law gives you; it is not an additional guarantee offered by ATTO TRAFIC.

Legal guarantee

Minimum two-year legal guarantee protection for goods sold in the European Union.

Consumers can claim their rights under the legal guarantee of conformity, for example if goods:

  • do not match the description;
  • do not function as intended.

Sellers are liable for any lack of conformity which existed when the goods were delivered, and which becomes apparent within the legal guarantee period. Sellers in such a situation are required to offer:

  • free repair or free replacement;
  • in some cases, a price reduction or full reimbursement.

Some countries have a longer legal guarantee period. For second-hand goods, a shorter period may apply, but not less than one year.

What to do if you receive non-conforming goods:

  1. Contact the seller as soon as possible to report the issue;
  2. Provide proof of purchase, such as a receipt, invoice, or bank statement.

Sellers and producers may also offer commercial guarantees, which apply independently from the legal guarantee. For example, you may see this GARAN label representing a commercial guarantee of durability offered by the producer at no additional cost and covering the entire good.
