Speed bumps for car parks, yards and internal roads
A speed bump does not stop a car, it makes it slow down. How much depends on how wide the bump is in the direction of travel and how high it is: the wider it is, the longer the car stays on it and the lower the speed at which the crossing stays bearable. That is why each of our models has the speed it is designed for on its product sheet.
Rubber and compound
The most widely used: heavy, with yellow reflective strips and a ribbed surface. The V19 series is 40, 50, 60 or 90 cm in the direction of travel, and the ATZ 40400 and ATZ 45600 are made of compound. You will find them under rubber/compound speed bumps.
Plastic (PPC)
Much lighter, with red cat's eye reflectors, in black or yellow pieces that are alternated. They are under plastic speed bumps.
Special
The one-way speed bump with metal spikes, which stops vehicles entering against the flow, and cable protectors for taking cables or hoses across a road. They are under special speed bumps and cable protectors.
How to count a row
50 cm long bumps go 2 per metre, 33 cm ones 3 per metre. At each end of the row goes an end cap that slopes down to the asphalt and only fits its own model. All of them come with the fixing anchors and bolts in the box.

How many speed bumps do I need for a street?
50 cm long bumps go 2 per metre, and the 33 cm ATZ 50250 goes 3 per metre. Measure the width between the kerbs, work out the number of pieces and add 2 end caps, one at each end.
What are end caps and why do I need them?
They are the pieces at the ends of the row. Their rounded edge slopes down to the asphalt so wheels, bicycles and scooters do not hit a step. Each speed bump model has its own cap.
Are the anchors and bolts included?
Yes, all speed bumps and caps come with the fixings included. The number of each is given on each product sheet.
What is the difference between rubber and plastic?
Rubber and compound bumps are heavy (5.9-17 kg a piece) and have yellow reflective strips. PPC bumps are much lighter (1.5-3.5 kg), have red cat's eye reflectors and come in black or yellow so they can be alternated.
