PE delineator posts
The economy series is made of PE (polyethylene). The posts are flexible, weather-resistant and UV-protected, but lighter and cheaper than the TPU ones. They suit jobs where you have many posts to install: along a long cycle lane, around a car park, on a company's internal roads.
Models
- 30 cm – ATZ 8030E, orange, 0.45 kg, 2 reflective bands;
- 45 cm – ATZ 8045E (orange), ATZ 8045E-BK (black), ATZ 8045E-Y (yellow), 0.51 kg, 2 bands;
- 75 cm – ATZ 8075E, ATZ 8075E-BK, ATZ 8075E-Y, 0.8 kg, 3 bands;
- 100 cm – ATZ 80100E, ATZ 80100E-BK, ATZ 80100E-Y, 1.3 kg, 4 bands.
All have a Ø8 cm post, a Ø20 cm round base and honeycomb reflective bands.
PE compared with TPU
At the same height, the PE post weighs less: 0.51 kg against 0.93 kg at 45 cm, 0.8 kg against 1.2 kg at 75 cm. The TPU posts have metallised bands instead of honeycomb.
Installation
The base is fixed straight into asphalt with 3 anchors and 3 bolts, supplied in the box.
Quantities and colours
The number of posts depends on the spacing. Along a 50 m cycle lane with a post every 5 m, you need 11; with one every 2.5 m, 21. A row of 10 posts of 75 cm weighs 8 kg in total. Black is chosen for a discreet look, yellow for industrial yards and car parks with yellow markings, and orange for roads and roadworks.
