Traffic cones
Traffic cones close off a lane, an entrance or a work area quickly and are packed away just as fast. They are used at roadworks, in no-access areas, in car parks and on building sites.
PVC or PE
- premium material cones – PVC, bright colours, long service life;
- economy material cones – PE, low price, low weight, matt colours.
All are flexible and weather-resistant. At the same height the PE cone is lighter: 0.9 kg against 1.3 kg at 50 cm, and 2.2 kg against 3.2 kg at 90 cm.
Height and base
The orange cones with 2 honeycomb reflective bands come in 50, 70 or 90 cm. The standard ones have an octagonal base, 28 cm on the 50 cm cone and 38 cm on the 70 and 90 cm cones. The weighted-base versions (code with "A") have a 38 or 48 cm hexagonal base and stay put in wind. To close a lane over 30 m with a cone every 3 m, you need 11 cones.
Marker cones and parking cones
The V6-50E and V6-50EA marker cones are red 50 cm economy cones for occasional marking. The V6-60R (red) and V6-60BL (blue) parking cones have 12 cat's eyes and weigh 6 kg.
Accessories

What is the difference between PVC and PE cones?
PVC cones (premium) have bright colours and are heavier. PE cones (economy) have a lower price, lower weight and matt colours. Both are flexible and have 2 reflective bands.
Which cone height should I choose?
50 cm for car parks and small work areas, 70 cm for roadworks and 90 cm for faster roads, where the cone must be seen from far away.
What does "weighted base" mean?
Cones with an "A" in the code have a heavy 38 or 48 cm hexagonal base that keeps them in place in wind or next to heavy traffic.
How do I link cones together?
With the ATO 3800 (white-red) or ATO 3800/B (yellow-black) extendable bar, which extends from 120 to 190 cm, or with the ATZ 101A hook and a chain.
Can I make a light cone more stable?
Yes, with the 4 kg ATO 3951 weight base, which goes over the base of the cone.
