? Frequently asked questions

What types of prohibition signs exist?

There are several types of prohibition signs, including those that prohibit the access of vehicles, motorcycles, bicycles, or vehicles of certain dimensions. Each sign is intended for a specific type of vehicle or a traffic restriction.

How to choose the appropriate signs for a specific area?

The choice of appropriate signs depends on the type of traffic in the area, the dimensions of the vehicles that circulate, and the specifics of the area (residential, commercial, industrial). It is important to consult local regulations and comply with current standards.

What is the importance of prohibition signs?

Prohibition signs are essential for maintaining road safety, as they prevent the access of inappropriate vehicles in areas where they could cause accidents or blockages. They contribute to smoother and more organized traffic.

What materials are used for prohibition signs?

Prohibition signs are made from weather-resistant materials, such as aluminum or PVC, which ensure durability and long-term visibility. They are designed to withstand various weather conditions and wear caused by traffic.

How should prohibition signs be placed?

Prohibition signs should be placed in visible locations, at an appropriate height and at suitable distances from intersections or restricted areas. It is important that they are easily observable by all road users to ensure compliance.

Legal guarantee of conformity

The official European Union notice on the legal guarantee of conformity for goods bought by consumers. It explains the rights the law gives you; it is not an additional guarantee offered by ATTO TRAFIC.

Official EU notice “Legal guarantee”: minimum two-year legal guarantee protection for goods sold in the European Union. The full text is available below.

Legal guarantee

Minimum two-year legal guarantee protection for goods sold in the European Union.

Consumers can claim their rights under the legal guarantee of conformity, for example if goods:

  • do not match the description;
  • do not function as intended.

Sellers are liable for any lack of conformity which existed when the goods were delivered, and which becomes apparent within the legal guarantee period. Sellers in such a situation are required to offer:

  • free repair or free replacement;
  • in some cases, a price reduction or full reimbursement.

Some countries have a longer legal guarantee period. For second-hand goods, a shorter period may apply, but not less than one year.

What to do if you receive non-conforming goods:

  1. Contact the seller as soon as possible to report the issue;
  2. Provide proof of purchase, such as a receipt, invoice, or bank statement.

Sellers and producers may also offer commercial guarantees, which apply independently from the legal guarantee. For example, you may see this GARAN label representing a commercial guarantee of durability offered by the producer at no additional cost and covering the entire good.
