Product description

Yellow-black barrier tape, 6 cm x 200 m

Yellow and black means "caution, hazard". The ATO 8120 is used where the issue is not road works but a risk in a workplace: a broken or wet floor in a hall, damaged racking, an area under a crane, a machine under repair or an open electrical cabinet.

Technical data
  • width: 6 cm;
  • length: 200 m per roll;
  • material: polyethylene (PE), at least 60 microns thick;
  • colour: yellow and black, diagonal stripes;
  • weight: 0.4 kg.
How it is used

The tape has no adhesive: tie it to posts, racking, railings or cones and run it around the area. Once the problem is fixed, take it down with nothing left on the floor.

Where it is used

In warehouses, factories, workshops, industrial yards and underground car parks, and outdoors too, around a pit or an area with a fall risk.

Other versions

For road works and building sites, the red-white version is the ATO 8020, 200 m, or the ATZ R12, 500 m. For a marking stuck to the floor, see the ATO 8200-YBK yellow-black adhesive tape.

? Frequently asked questions

When do I use yellow-black barrier tape rather than red-white?

Yellow-black is for a risk in a workplace rather than road works: a broken or wet floor in a hall, damaged racking, an area under a crane, a machine under repair or an open electrical cabinet. For road works and building sites there is the red-white version, the ATO 8020.

Does it leave marks on the floor?

No, the tape has no adhesive. Tie it to posts, racking, railings or cones, run it around the area and take it down once the problem is fixed.

Can it be used outdoors?

Yes, for example in industrial yards or around a pit or an area with a fall risk.

What is it made of and how much does the roll weigh?

Polyethylene (PE), at least 60 microns thick. The roll holds 200 m of 6 cm wide tape and weighs 0.4 kg.

I need a marking that stays stuck to the floor. What should I choose?

The ATO 8200-YBK yellow-black adhesive tape, 5 cm wide, which sticks straight onto the floor.

Legal guarantee of conformity

The official European Union notice on the legal guarantee of conformity for goods bought by consumers. It explains the rights the law gives you; it is not an additional guarantee offered by ATTO TRAFIC.

Text of the notice

Legal guarantee

Minimum two-year legal guarantee protection for goods sold in the European Union.

Consumers can claim their rights under the legal guarantee of conformity, for example if goods:

  • do not match the description;
  • do not function as intended.

Sellers are liable for any lack of conformity which existed when the goods were delivered, and which becomes apparent within the legal guarantee period. Sellers in such a situation are required to offer:

  • free repair or free replacement;
  • in some cases, a price reduction or full reimbursement.

Some countries have a longer legal guarantee period. For second-hand goods, a shorter period may apply, but not less than one year.

For more information on your rights in a specific country, scan the QR code below or ask the seller. europa.eu/youreurope/guarantees

What to do if you receive non-conforming goods:

  1. Contact the seller as soon as possible to report the issue;
  2. Provide proof of purchase, such as a receipt, invoice, or bank statement.

Sellers and producers may also offer commercial guarantees, which apply independently from the legal guarantee. For example, you may see this GARAN label representing a commercial guarantee of durability offered by the producer at no additional cost and covering the entire good.
