Product description
One-way speed bump with metal spikes
This is not an ordinary speed bump. Four metal spikes, painted yellow, come up through its black body, angled in the permitted direction of travel. Vehicles coming from that direction cross it like a speed bump. Against the flow, the metal spikes can puncture tyres. Its job is to stop vehicles entering or leaving an area the wrong way: a car park with separate entry and exit, a company yard, an access ramp.
Construction
- black PPC body with a ramp on each side;
- 4 yellow metal spikes;
- 2 yellow reflective strips on top;
- 50 x 50 x 6 cm, 7.3 kg.
Fitting
It fixes at 6 points into concrete or asphalt, with 6 anchors and 6 bolts included. Two pieces fit per metre, and the 9 cm ATE 12291 cap goes at the ends of the row.
Signs are a must
Because the spikes can damage tyres against the flow, the bump must be clearly signed: one-way signs on the permitted side and no-entry signs on the other, placed before it, so drivers know the correct direction in good time.
