Anti-slip sports court paint, white, RAL 9016, 25 kg
The lines of a tennis or basketball court are stepped on, jumped on and braked on every day. The ATP T-9016 is the white paint for them: a one-component solvent-based acrylic paint that already contains fine quartz sand, 0.06-0.25 mm. The quartz makes the surface slip-resistant, and the finish stays matt.
How far it goes
The white has a density of 1.60-1.70 g/cm³, so at a 400 µm wet film the consumption is 0.64-0.68 kg/m². A 25 kg pail covers about 37-39 m², roughly 370-390 m of 10 cm line. At a 600 µm film it covers 24-26 m².
Application
The paint comes ready to use and is not thinned. Stir it well with a mechanical stirrer, not with makeshift tools, then apply it with a brush, roller or handgun, or with an air-assisted marking machine. It needs no primer on asphalt, and new asphalt should be left for up to 28 days before painting.
Conditions and drying
The surface must be dry, clean and between 5 and 45 °C, the air at least 5 °C, humidity below 80%, and the temperature at least 5 °C above the dew point. It dries in 30 minutes at 10 °C, 25 minutes at 25 °C and 5 minutes at 45 °C. Keep off the lines until they are fully dry.
Safety
It contains solvents, has a flash point of 15 °C and is a professional product: work outdoors, away from flames, with gloves and safety glasses. Clean the tools with solvent-based thinner and do not leave paint in the equipment.
