Black tactile guidance marking, 30x60 cm
The ATE 8017 is the 30 x 60 cm guidance marking in black RAL 9017. It is chosen for light-coloured floors, where a black tile gives partially sighted people better contrast than a yellow one.
How it is laid
The raised ribs run parallel to the long side, so the tile goes down with its 60 cm side along the direction of travel. It is bonded with epoxy adhesive, bought separately.

Worked example
An 18 m corridor with a tactile route down the middle takes 30 tiles. Compared with the 30 x 30 cm format, the number of pieces halves, and so does the number of joints.
