Product description
White thermoplastic for road markings, RAL 9016, 20 kg
On high-traffic roads, markings have to last longer than a coat of paint. The ATA 4020 is a white thermoplastic material: it is melted at 180-210 °C and machine-applied in a 2-3 mm layer, several times thicker than acrylic paint. It is used on motorways, main roads and major city arteries.
Quick drying
The material sets by cooling, not by a solvent evaporating, so it is ready in 2-4 minutes at 10 °C. The road reopens almost straight away, and the product contains no volatile compounds.
Consumption
4 kg/m² at 2 mm thickness and 6 kg/m² at 3 mm. A 20 kg pack therefore covers about 5 m² or 3.3 m² respectively. ATP AC90 glass beads are applied straight after, about 400 g/m².
Equipment
You need a melter and an application machine with one gun for the material and one for the beads. Humidity must be 80% at most.
