Flashing lamp on a 28 kg base

A lamp beacon usually stays put for days, including nights when there is nobody on site to stand it back up if it falls. On open roads with wind and lorries, the 28 kg base of this model keeps it upright.

With the reflector and the lamp, the beacon weighs 31 kg and stands 125 cm tall. It is easier to move with two people.

Signalling

The 25 x 100 cm reflector has yellow and red stripes in EG Class I film and shows when headlights catch it. Above it, the lamp with Ø5 mm LEDs flashes yellow and can be seen from distances the headlights do not reach.

Power

The lamp takes a 6V 4R25 zinc-carbon battery, the type used in most site lamps. When it runs down, you replace it on the spot.

When to choose this one

On main and county roads, at the edge of towns, and anywhere you have found lighter beacons knocked over in the morning. In town, where the wind is weaker, the V7b-15 on a 15 kg base is enough. The solar lamp version on a 28 kg base is the ATS 28K-404.

What the roadworks rules require (Order 1112/411/2000)

SR 1848-1:2024 provides the marker with a flashing amber lamp (V7b) for signing work zones. The methodological rules approved by Order MI/MT no. 1112/411/2000 allow retroreflective temporary signing to be supplemented at night with flashing or sequential (“cascade”) amber devices, and on main and connecting streets in towns they require temporary signs to be supplemented with flashing amber lamps. Where the existing signing is not retroreflective, the lengthwise edge of the work zone is also marked with steady or flashing amber lamps.

The contractor installs the signing to the layout approved by the road authority with the traffic police's agreement, maintains and completes it for the whole job and removes it at the end; accidents caused by incomplete or missing temporary signing are entirely the contractor's responsibility.
