Yellow tactile guidance tile, 40x40 cm
The raised parallel ribs on this tile show the direction of travel. A blind person feels them underfoot or with a white cane and follows them along an obstacle-free route: from a building's gate to its entrance, along a platform, across a station concourse.

How it is installed
The tile is bonded to the floor with epoxy adhesive, which is not included. The ribs point in the direction the person needs to walk. A 10 m route, 40 cm wide, takes 25 tiles.
Why yellow
For partially sighted people, the contrast between the tile and the floor around it matters. Yellow stands out on grey paving, asphalt or dark tiles. On a light floor, the black version, the ATZ 9005-BK, shows up better.
Together with warning tiles
A guidance route usually leads to a warning area before a pedestrian crossing, a staircase or the edge of a platform. For that area, in the same format, there is the ATZ 9006 with raised domes. If you need smaller tiles, the ATZ 9003 is 30 x 30 cm.
