Black tactile guidance tile, 30x30 cm
In halls with light-coloured tiles, yellow is not the only option. The ATZ 9003-BK is the 30 x 30 cm guidance tile in black RAL 9017, for clear contrast on a white, cream or light grey floor.
What it looks like
The face of the tile carries raised parallel ribs that show the direction of travel. It is made of TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane), 0.8 cm thick, with a non-slip surface.
Installation
It is bonded to the floor with epoxy adhesive, bought separately. The ribs line up from one tile to the next, so the guidance line does not break.
Quick calculation
A 6 m hall with a route 30 cm wide needs 20 tiles. Where the route changes direction, the spot is usually marked with warning tiles, so the person knows to stop and get their bearings.
