The A36 announces two close junctions with minor roads, staggered from each other: the first joins from the left, the second from the right.
It is used under the same conditions as the A33, A34 and A35: outside built-up areas, at junctions with minor roads not already signed with the F1, F1a, F2 or F13, and not at dirt roads. The side roads must have the B1 or B2.
The distance from the hazard follows the general rule for warning signs: up to 50 m in built-up areas, 100–250 m outside them and 500–1,000 m on motorways and expressways. On motorways and expressways the P4 additional panel with the actual distance is mandatory; elsewhere it is only added when the sign has to stand further back.
The pack also holds clamps for Ø48 mm posts and bolts with nuts for mounting on a post; clamps for Ø60 mm posts are available on request. The correct height, measured at the bottom edge, is 1.50–2.50 m above the road or kerb, and the sign stands 0.50–2.0 m from the edge of the road platform. Choose a spot where it can be seen from 50 m in built-up areas and from 100 m on roads outside them.
The 70 cm triangle is the normal format in SR 1848-2, meant for county and local roads, streets and private roads open to public traffic. National roads call for large 90 cm signs, and motorways for very large 120 cm ones.
Yes. 70 cm is the normal format in SR 1848-2, required on county and local roads, streets and private roads open to public traffic. National roads call for 90 cm and motorways for 120 cm.
The bottom edge goes 1.50–2.50 m above the road or kerb, and the inner edge 0.50–2.0 m from the road platform. The pack holds clamps for Ø48 mm posts and bolts with nuts; clamps for Ø60 mm posts are available on request.
The sheeting is class I (RA1), with a 7-year service life. Under SR 1848-2, during that time retroreflection stays at no less than 80% of the initial minimum value and the sheeting stays bonded over at least 95% of the surface.
