The white disc with a red border and the black letters GPL shows that vehicles running on liquefied petroleum gas may not enter. It is used mainly at the entrance to underground car parks, garages and enclosed premises where the operator does not allow these vehicles in.
Class I (RA1) sheeting returns 70 cd/(lx·m²) for white to the driver and has a 7-year service life, enough on roads where headlights are the only light: local, minor and private roads or quiet streets. In areas with street lighting, shop windows, advertising and dense urban traffic, however, SR 1848-2 requires prismatic class 2 or 3 sheeting.
It goes at the entrance to the car park, garage or premises that LPG vehicles may not enter, in plain view and before the ramp or barrier, so drivers can turn away in time without having to turn round on the ramp. The access rules are set by the owner or operator of the premises.
Fixings for the post are included: 2 clamps for Ø48 mm posts and 4 bolts with nuts; clamps for Ø60 mm posts are available on request.
The post is ordered separately. For a fixed installation in a concrete foundation: the galvanised Ø48 mm post, 300 cm. For temporary use, with no foundation: the Ø48 mm tripod post, 120 cm. On concrete or paving, where you cannot dig: the Ø60 mm flange post, 300 cm, bolted down; for it, ask for the Ø60 mm clamps when you order.
The disc is Ø60 cm, the same as normal-format round signs in SR 1848-2, so it is easy to see from the car park entrance. On a post it can stand together with other premises signs, such as those for maximum height or the speed limit inside the car park.

No. The standard has no sign for LPG vehicles. This is a premises sign, installed by the owner or operator of the car park, who also sets the access rules.

Where the sign does not compete with other lights: on roads and streets without strong lighting, on local, minor or private roads. In areas with many light sources (street lighting, shop windows, advertising), SR 1848-2 requires prismatic class 2 or 3 sheeting.
The sheeting is class I (RA1), with a 7-year service life. Under SR 1848-2, during that time retroreflection stays at no less than 80% of the initial minimum value and the sheeting stays bonded over at least 95% of the surface.

Yes. It is CE marked, and the sheet, sheeting and construction meet SR EN 12899-1:2007 and SR 1848-2:2011, as for the standard road signs. The sheeting and the paint resist UV and weathering.
