Product description

STOP / GO traffic paddle, Ø20 cm

When traffic on a stretch of road runs in turns through a single lane, someone has to say who goes and who waits. The V12-20 paddle is the flagger's tool: one side is green with the word GO, the other red with STOP. Turn it in your hand and the message changes.

Technical data
  • Ø20 cm disc, double-sided;
  • green with GO / red with STOP;
  • material: PP, with honeycomb reflective film;
  • 40 cm overall height, with handle;
  • weight: 0.3 kg.
How it is used

Two flaggers, one at each end of the single-lane section, hold their paddles with opposite faces showing: when one shows GO, the other shows STOP. The reflective film makes the paddle visible in headlights for works that start early in the morning or run into the evening.

Where it is used

At road works with only one lane open, where lorries leave a building site, at events, at the entrance to busy car parks and at temporary crossings.

Why Ø20 cm

The paddle is light, 0.3 kg, and can be held for hours without tiring the hand.

What the roadworks rules require (Order 1112/411/2000)

SR 1848-1:2024 provides signal paddles (V12) for places where traffic is controlled by traffic marshals. The methodological rules approved by Order MI/MT no. 1112/411/2000 accept traffic marshals as one of the three systems for alternating traffic, chosen by traffic volume and section length, which cannot exceed 1,200 m. The same rules state that a warning flag is used only to warn of a hazard and never to impose priority; to stop and release traffic, the marshal uses the paddle.

The contractor installs the signing to the layout approved by the road authority with the traffic police's agreement, maintains and completes it for the whole job and removes it at the end; accidents caused by incomplete or missing temporary signing are entirely the contractor's responsibility.

? Frequently asked questions

How do two flaggers work with STOP / GO paddles?

One stands at each end of the single-lane section, holding the paddles with opposite faces showing: when one shows GO, the other shows STOP.

What is on each face?

One face is green with the word GO, the other red with STOP. Turn it in your hand and the message changes.

Can it be held for a long time?

Yes, it weighs 0.3 kg and can be held for hours without tiring the hand. It is 40 cm tall overall, with the handle, with a Ø20 cm disc.

Can it be seen in the dark?

The honeycomb reflective film makes it visible in headlights, for works that start early in the morning or run into the evening.

Where is it used?

At road works with only one lane open, where lorries leave a building site, at events, at the entrance to busy car parks and at temporary crossings.

Is there a larger paddle?

Yes, there is a paddle with a Ø30 cm disc that can be seen from further away, with plain red and green faces and no lettering.

Who is responsible for the work-zone signing?

The contractor. Under Order MI/MT no. 1112/411/2000, the contractor installs the signing to the layout approved by the road authority with the traffic police's agreement, keeps a copy of the approval and the layout at the work site, maintains and completes the signing for the whole job and removes it at the end. Accidents caused by incomplete or missing temporary signing are entirely the contractor's responsibility.

Legal guarantee

Minimum two-year legal guarantee protection for goods sold in the European Union.

Consumers can claim their rights under the legal guarantee of conformity, for example if goods:

  • do not match the description;
  • do not function as intended.

Sellers are liable for any lack of conformity which existed when the goods were delivered, and which becomes apparent within the legal guarantee period. Sellers in such a situation are required to offer:

  • free repair or free replacement;
  • in some cases, a price reduction or full reimbursement.

Some countries have a longer legal guarantee period. For second-hand goods, a shorter period may apply, but not less than one year.

For more information on your rights in a specific country, scan the QR code below or ask the seller. europa.eu/youreurope/guarantees

What to do if you receive non-conforming goods:

  1. Contact the seller as soon as possible to report the issue;
  2. Provide proof of purchase, such as a receipt, invoice, or bank statement.

Sellers and producers may also offer commercial guarantees, which apply independently from the legal guarantee. For example, you may see this GARAN label representing a commercial guarantee of durability offered by the producer at no additional cost and covering the entire good.
