? Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between one-component and two-component paint?

ATP 1K one-component paint is applied straight from the pail in a thin coat and dries as the solvent evaporates, in about 25 minutes. ATP 2K two-component cold plastic is mixed with a catalyst, applied thick with a roller at 1.5-2 kg/m², and lasts longer under traffic.

What do I need for the marking to show at night?

Glass beads, dropped onto the fresh paint. ATP AC90 beads return the headlight beam to the driver; the white ATP 1K-9016 paint with 400 g/m² of beads reached retroreflection class R5.

When should the primer be used?

On concrete and on very old or polished asphalt. On ordinary asphalt in good condition, the acrylic paint does not need a primer. The primer is the ATP PRIMER, in a 5 l can.

How long should I wait after a road has been resurfaced?

The paint data sheets recommend 4-6 weeks after new asphalt is laid before marking, and a trial on a small area.

What are preformed markings?

Ready-made markings in 2-3 mm thermoplastic, such as the ATP L10015-9016 line or the ATP P300160-B2 STOP symbol, which are laid on the asphalt and melted with a gas torch. They need no marking machine and no drying time.

Legal guarantee of conformity

The official European Union notice on the legal guarantee of conformity for goods bought by consumers. It explains the rights the law gives you; it is not an additional guarantee offered by ATTO TRAFIC.

Official EU notice “Legal guarantee”: minimum two-year legal guarantee protection for goods sold in the European Union. The full text is available below.
Text of the notice

Legal guarantee

Minimum two-year legal guarantee protection for goods sold in the European Union.

Consumers can claim their rights under the legal guarantee of conformity, for example if goods:

  • do not match the description;
  • do not function as intended.

Sellers are liable for any lack of conformity which existed when the goods were delivered, and which becomes apparent within the legal guarantee period. Sellers in such a situation are required to offer:

  • free repair or free replacement;
  • in some cases, a price reduction or full reimbursement.

Some countries have a longer legal guarantee period. For second-hand goods, a shorter period may apply, but not less than one year.

For more information on your rights in a specific country, scan the QR code below or ask the seller. europa.eu/youreurope/guarantees

What to do if you receive non-conforming goods:

  1. Contact the seller as soon as possible to report the issue;
  2. Provide proof of purchase, such as a receipt, invoice, or bank statement.

Sellers and producers may also offer commercial guarantees, which apply independently from the legal guarantee. For example, you may see this GARAN label representing a commercial guarantee of durability offered by the producer at no additional cost and covering the entire good.
